MISSION and SERVICES

The mission of Student Services is to promote the success of students at KBC. Services include advising and counseling, assessment testing, academic support through the Peer Tutor Program, career center services, and financial aid including student employment opportunities on campus. Student Services is committed to providing the information you need to make the many decisions affecting your life in college and beyond.

WHAT ABOUT CAMPUS SAFETY?

Campus Security Report contains campus crime statistics for the three most current years; campus security measure; crime reporting and alert procedures; crime prevention strategies and educational programs; the sexual offenses policy, complaint procedures, and disciplinary actions for violations of alcohol and other drug policies. See: KBC Security Report KPC has a great safety record, but it is a public facility. Students, faculty and staff are expected to respond promptly to the fire alarm and evacuate the building. Students are cautioned to be aware of their physical safety and keep track of their belongings while on campus or in the parking areas. Do not leave your car keys in your automobile unlock your car.  Practice safety precautions, especially at night, or when there are few people in the area.  The MIR3 emergency notification system will allow officials of Kachemak Bay campus to contact you in the event of an on-campus emergency.  Students will need to supply contact information directly to MIR3 by registering at http://www.mir3.com/kpc/ in order for notifications be possible.  The information you supply will only be used to contact you in the event of an emergency or test of the emergency system.  It will never be used for any other purpose.  Immediately contact an adviser, the director, or other staff members if you have safety concerns.

WHAT ABOUT CAREER COUNSELING AND HELP WITH RESUMES, COVER LETTERS, AND JOB SEARCHES?

The KBC Career Center services are free to students, alumni and the public. We can help you identify a career direction, the type of training or education needed and where to get it, improve your job hunting skills, prepare your resume and prepare for an interview.
